La Liga giants Real Madrid were on Tuesday afforded a boost on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that Ferland Mendy has linked back up with the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad in group training.
Left-back Mendy has for his part been sidelined for well over a month now.
This comes owing to a hamstring injury suffered in the 2nd leg of Real Madrid’s Champions League Last-16 showdown with city rivals Atlético.
Initial reports pointed towards the Frenchman facing up to a spell of between three and four weeks on the treatment table.
Mendy, however, saw his recovery progress slowly, forced to sit out each of Los Blancos’ last eight fixtures in all competitions as a result.
But as alluded to above, on Tuesday, the former Lyon standout took a significant step back towards the pitch.
This comes after Mendy was spotted in full training at Valdebebas, amid hopes of being cleared to play his part against Barcelona in this weekend’s Copa del Rey final.
