Sartori bluntly replies to Milan links with clear message: “Exclusively” | OneFootball

Giovanni Sartori has emerged as a leading candidate to be AC Milan’s sporting director, but he has once again made his position known.

There have been several names put forward for the role of the sporting director, and Milan considered Sartori among those at the top of the list. However, they were rebutted in their chase, due to the Bologna director’s position.

Considering the positions of both clubs, though, it is not really a surprise that he wants to retain his post, rather than jumping ship. Nevertheless, he is still being linked to the role, and Giorgio Furlani has shown that he is not ready to give up on candidates after seemingly being overlooked.

Whether Furlani is still gunning for Sartori, as he is for Tony D’Amico, is unknown; however, it would not be a surprise if the club were put off for good with the director’s comments today. Speaking to Corriere della Sera (via Milan News), Sartori said this:

“I have to think only and exclusively of Bologna.”

It is probably not going to happen for him and Milan.
