Fiorentina star Moise Kean missed Wednesday’s 2-1 win over Cagliari for family reasons: ‘We must support him now,’ said director Daniele Pradé.

Fiorentina secured a 2-1 away win at Cagliari on Wednesday, despite being without their top scorer, Kean.

The Tuscans announced before the game that Kean would be unavailable due to family reasons.

Fiorentina director Pradé said after the game (via Sportitalia): “We must support him now, and we hope he returns with the same desire he had before. Those who replaced him did well, and I am happy about Beltran’s goal; he needed it so much.”

Robin Gosens and Beltran’s goals gave Fiorentina all three points yesterday after Cagliari had taken the lead with Roberto Piccoli in the opening stages.

Fiorentina are now 8th in the Serie A table, but just four points below a Champions League spot with five games remaining.

It remains to be seen whether Kean would be available for Fiorentina’s next Serie A match against Empoli at the Stadio Franchi in Florence.

The Tuscans have also qualified for the Conference League semifinals and will travel to Sevilla for the first leg against Real Betis on May 1.
