Ambitious Serie A side Como are among the Serie A sides reportedly interested in a deal for soon-to-be free agent and Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne, according to updates in Italy.
De Bruyne, who has six Premier League titles to his name, has announced that he will be leaving Manchester City at the end of the 2024-25 campaign. There have already been strong links with a move to MLS, to Saudi Arabia, and also to a number of clubs in Europe, including in the Premier League and Serie A.
Soon after De Bruyne’s announcement regarding his Man City future, there had been links with a move to Inter, who have capitalised on the signing of free agents in recent years: Marcus Thuram, Piotr Zielinski, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Andre Onana among them.
However, a move to Inter is unlikely given the owners’ stance on making a significant investment on a player of De Bruyne’s age. The current Nerazzurri owners have been in charge since the end of the 2023-24 season, hence the change in recruitment policy.

According to reports from Calciomercato.com, Como are also among the Serie A sides interested in a deal for De Bruyne.
Though they are still in their first season in the top flight after promotion from Serie B, Como have shown their ambition with a number of high profile appointments, including that of Cesc Fabregas as head coach, and the additions of Nico Paz, Assane Diao, Sergi Roberto, Maxence Caqueret and Alex Valle.

Como had also been linked with a high-profile move for Milan left-back Theo Hernandez during the January transfer window.
Como’s ownership group is also the wealthiest in Serie A, with an estimated net worth of over €40 billion.
