André Onana (29) is open to leaving Manchester United this summer and is in talks to join Neom SC, according to a report from Foot Mercato. The club have just confirmed their promotion to the Saudi Pro League.
Onana has struggled for form since arriving from Inter Milan back in 2023 and was recently described by former Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matić as the worst goalkeeper in the club’s history. Ruben Amorim has kept confidence in the Cameroonian shot-stopper, as shown by his reinstatement for the second leg of the Red Devils’ second leg of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final against Olympique Lyonnais.
However, the Cameroonian is attracting interest. As per Foot Mercato, recently-promoted Neom have begun talks with the player’s representatives with a view to a summer move. Saïd Benrahma already plays for the club, whilst they are also showing interest in Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.
Onana himself would be open to a move to the Saudi Arabian club with Neom’s interest now concrete.
