Sheffield Wednesday have made a habit of picking up points from losing positions this season - so it was perhaps no surprise that the Owls came from a goal down to beat Middlesbrough on Easter Monday.

Danny Rohl's side went into the Boro game on an eight-game winless streak at Hillsborough, and the game looked to be getting way from them when Finn Azaz put the visitors ahead on 11 minutes.

The hosts' fortunes worsened on 22 minutes when Michael Carrick's side were awarded a penalty - only for Owls keeper Pierce Charles to make a fantastic save low to his right from Boro striker Tommy Conway's spot-kick.

A goal down at the break, Wednesday emerged with fresh intent in the second period and Josh Windass levelled the scores on 54 minutes from close range.

The game seemed destined for a draw...but substitute Anthony Musaba was in the right place at the right time to scramble home a matchwinner for Wednesday in the last minute to secure all three points and end the Owls' winless streak on home turf.

Across the entire top four tiers of English football this season, only League Two Swindon (also 24 points won) are able to match Wednesday's points return from losing positions in 2024/25 - Bristol City (20 points) their closest rivals in the Championship in this regard.

Up to 13th in the second tier, the Owls host Portsmouth before finishing their league campaign away at Watford...are any further comebacks on the cards??
