Arsenal's title chances are remote, but there's scope for them to at least put a hint of pressure on the league leaders when they face Fulham on Tuesday night.

Liverpool are currently 12 points clear at the summit, but they could enter Wednesday's Merseyside derby with a single-digit advantage. The Gunners, however, must secure their first victory over the Cottagers since March 2023.

Despite an injury setback, the international break was a productive one for the north London outfit. 15 players were in action, several found themselves on the scoresheet and those who travelled further afield returned home in plenty of time for the club's Premier League return.

Here's how Arsenal could line up for Fulham's midweek visit.

GK: David Raya - Raya has been in excellent form this season and looked to have usurped Unai Simon as Spain's number one. However, he didn't feature at all during their UEFA Nations League quarter-final against the Netherlands.

RB: Jurrien Timber - Ben White has been back for over a month, but the Englishman will continue to play second fiddle to the sturdier Dutchman, who is back after battling illness over the international break.

CB: William Saliba - The French defender was on the scoresheet in the reverse fixture, but his early second-half strike from close range was only enough to help Arsenal claim a point.

CB: Gabriel - The consistently supreme centre-half was absent for Brazil's chastening 4-1 defeat to Argentina through suspension, meaning he returned to London earlier than expected. He'll be fresh for Tuesday's game.

LB: Myles Lewis-Skelly - The teenager was one of the big winners of the break after he shone on his first two England starts. He'll be included in Arteta's XI here due to Riccardo Calafiori's absence.

CM: Thomas Partey - Partey scored twice in Ghana's 3-0 victory over Madagascar last week, and he's poised to continue at the base of midfield for the Gunners. There's no movement yet on the contract front.

CM: Declan Rice - The Englishman got some practice in as a #6 against a couple of deep-lying defences during the break, but Rice will likely operate ahead of the ball on Tuesday. Arteta has deployed him in a more advanced role during the second half of the season.

CM: Martin Odegaard - The skipper has disappointed this term, but his performance for Norway in their 4-2 win over Israel last Tuesday was a reminder of his genius. A strong conclusion to the season is needed.

RW: Ethan Nwaneri - Bukayo Saka is back, but the superstar winger is poised for minutes off the bench. Nwaneri impressed for England's U21s during the break, and he should return to Arteta's XI in midweek.

ST: Mikel Merino - Merino scored the game's only goal in Arsenal's win over Chelsea before the break, and although Arteta has another attacking option to call upon here, expect the makeshift centre-forward to continue in the frontline.

LW: Gabriel Martinelli - It's a toss-up between two underperforming options down the left. Martinelli should benefit from not having to travel to and from South America during the break, and he could get the nod over Leandro Trossard.
