In a season where almost every Barcelona attacker has stepped up and flourished under the leadership of new coach Hansi Flick, Ansu Fati has been the only outlier.
The explosive winger, returning from a loan spell at Brighton & Hove Albion last season, has failed to earn the trust of Flick, with his progress being hampered by injuries and a lack of form.
While Flick was willing to try out Fati during the first half of the campaign, his inability to take full advantage has seen him move further behind in the pecking order.
Fati is now completely out of Flick’s plans, with the player now often finding himself out of Barcelona’s matchday squads.
In light of his lack of chances in the first team, Ansu’s camp led by his father, Bori Fati, has expressed its dissatisfaction over how the player is being treated by Flick, reports Jijantes.
Fati’s entourage argues that the player is giving everything to try and impress Flick in training, but his commitment is being ignored by Barcelona.

They are rather displeased about the fact that Fati has not received any first-team opportunities lately despite giving his all in training.
The entourage also believes that Fati deserves every chance to play in the first team and get the opportunity to prove himself.
It is no secret that Barcelona are keen on offloading Ansu Fati at the end of the season, knowing he is not in the long-term plans and earns a sizeable salary.
However, the report adds that Fati has no desire to leave Barcelona and has already rejected several offers from other clubs.
The player’s idea is to continue working hard in training and impress Flick. He is, in fact, one of the few players in the team who voluntarily attends all training sessions.
However, whether or not that will be enough to seal more game time, especially at this crucial juncture of the campaign, remains to be seen.
