Inter are just three points ahead of Atalanta in the Serie A, with Napoli sandwiched between the two sides in the title race.

But more than that, there is the recent form of Atalanta.

La Dea bounced back from recent Serie A draws and elimination from the Champions League in the most emphatic fashion.

Last Sunday, Atalanta demolished Juventus 4-0 in Turin. This not only sent the Bianconeri packing from the title conversation – it also made clear that La Dea are very much contenders.

Inter will naturally want their most important players in good form for Sunday’s match.

And there are a couple players in particular who look to have enjoyed a welcome resurgence.

First of all, there is midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.

The Turkish international has had question marks around him for all of 2025 so far. He has suffered injuries, and these have affected his form.

But Calhanoglu has finally looked to be in rhythm in his last couple appearances.

Meanwhile, striker Marcus Thuram has been trying to shake off an injury of his own.

Last month, Thuram took a bad knock to his ankle. This not only ruled him out of a couple matches, but also saw the Frenchman lacking some freshness and burst of pace upon his return.

But Thuram underlined how devastating he can be with his performance against Feyenoord on Tuesday.

Therefore, having Calhanoglu and Thuram playing at this level can certainly be a big boost for Inter Milan.
