The official club event is happening on Sunday 8 June at the SEC’s Glasgow Auditorium – the Armadillo to mark the 25th anniversary of the appointment of Martin O’Neill as Celtic manager, with the Irishman, who won two European Cup winners medals during his playing days, promising to “bring some success to this football club”.
Martin O’Neill certainly kept his promise.

His appointment in June 2000 marked the beginning of the rebirth of Celtic Football Club and set the ball rolling on a quarter of a century of unprecedented success. In his first season, Martin’s Celtic won a domestic Treble for only the third time in the club’s history, a total of seven trophies and memorably, restored the club’s proud reputation in European competition, reaching the UEFA Cup final in 2003.
Martin managed some of the club’s most legendary players and he’ll be joined by some of them on stage in front of thousands of Celtic fans on this night of celebration, hopefully the glow of yet another treble will still be apparent around everyone with Celtic in their hearts on Sunday 8 June.
There will be stories told from inside the Celtic dressing room, insights on how Martin masterminded Celtic’s return to prominence at home and in Europe, and experience his journey from growing up in Kilrea, Derry to achieving his dream of managing Celtic.

Martin will also reveal details of his experiences captaining his country at a World Cup, winning two European Cups with Nottingham Forest and turning Leicester City from minnows to trophy winners en-route to Paradise.
Join Martin O’Neill plus special guests from his glorious era at Celtic – as well as other famous faces associated with Martin’s career in football – for an unmissable night of storytelling, and celebration.
