Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on River Plate midfielder Franco Mastantuono as the summer transfer window approaches, but they’re not alone. A number of top European clubs are also in the hunt for the highly rated teenager.
According to TyC Sports’ Germán García Grova, PSG have already opened talks and made Mastantuono a key target. The French giants now join a growing list of teams eyeing a move for the young Argentine.
Transfer expert César Luis Merlo previously reported that Manchester United have shown the strongest interest so far. The club has scouted Mastantuono in person and understands that his €45 million release clause will be central to any deal.

CaughtOffside reported Thursday that Chelsea are pushing hard to sign Mastantuono as part of their ongoing effort to recruit top young talent from around the world.
The report also notes that River Plate have set Mastantuono’s price at €45 million—the amount in his release clause—and are unwilling to let him go unless that figure is met.
Other interested clubs—Manchester United, Manchester City, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid—appear to see the high release clause as a hurdle for now.
Meanwhile, Fichajes recently noted that with Mastantuono under contract through 2026, his camp isn’t in a hurry to make a move. Those close to the player have emphasized that Real Madrid remains his top choice, and the current plan is to wait for the right moment to make the jump to Europe.
