Ansu Fati is staring at an uncertain future at FC Barcelona after this season, something that was recently confirmed by his agent Jorge Mendes as well.

The young La Masia forward has fallen out of favour under Hansi Flick this season and has found minutes extremely hard to come by.

While the recent injury to Robert Lewandowski might lead to some opportunities for the Barça No. 10 in the coming games, his future prospects beyond this season look bleak and an exit seems pretty much nailed on at this point.

Ilaix Moriba wants Ansu at Celta Vigo

Even as Ansu Fati ponders his next move, his former Barcelona teammate Ilaix Moriba has come up with an interesting proposition.

The 22-year-old ex-La Masia talent is currently on loan at Celta Vigo from RB Leipzig and given his performances this season, it is possible that the Galician outfit sign him on a permanent deal.

And in an interesting social media interaction, Moriba seemingly pleaded Fati to join him at Celta.

Earlier this week, Moriba posted a message on Instagram in Galician: “Loita e loita, todos xuntos”, which translates to “Fight and fight, all together”.

Among the comments on the post was one from Ansu Fati, who commented with a single blood drop emoji, seemingly echoing the fighting spirit referenced in the post. That sparked a series of replies from Celta fans calling for Ansu to join the club next season.

One comment from a fan read: “Yes man, this guy is coming to play in Europe with Iago and Ferlo up front,” to which Moriba responded with emojis – a tired face and two hands pressed together – interpreted by many as a heartfelt plea to his fellow La Masia graduate.

Despite Moriba’s seeming interest in a reunion, the idea of Ansu Fati signing for Celta Vigo remains highly unlikely at present.
