Carlo Ancelotti’s time in Madrid is coming to an end, and reports are linking the Italian with jobs back home, and an AC Milan return is becoming a possibility, seemingly.
With Real Madrid’s loss to Arsenal, there is a growing feeling that the Italian will be removed from his post in the very near future, with some even stating that it could be done before next week. So, there is a growing thought about his future.
As Gazzetta dello Sport write this morning (seen below), a return to Italy is seen as a ‘legitimate thought’, with Roma and Milan both looking to appoint a new head coach this summer. Perhaps this is the reason why neither club has decided on anything concrete for next season yet.
Both clubs would offer him a chance to revisit his past, surely, considering he has a track record of being adored by clubs, players and fans alike. So, should he return to either, he would be welcomed back to Rome or Milano like a ‘messiah’.
Neither club could offer him close to the €10 million per season which he earns in Madrid currently, and this is where his heart would have to help. There are shadows with both projects, certainly, the large one being no Champions League for the Rossoneri, but he has already stated it is where his heart is.
Ultimately, home is where the heart is, and Ancelotti would be welcomed back with open arms.
