Inter Milan signed Yann Bisseck from Danish outfit Aarhus for only €7 million plus add-ons.

Despite playing a bit-part role in his first season in Serie A, Bisseck has climbed up the ranks at Inter.

Head coach Simone Inzaghi has handed him a more prominent function in the team this season.

More importantly, the 24-year-old has seized every opportunity.

Indeed, he has excelled as part of Inzaghi’s back three while showing his capability to adapt to other technical requirements.

For perspective, Bisseck has recently deputized for Denzel Dumfries on the right flank.

His meteoric rise at the San Siro has not gone unnoticed.

In addition to earning his maiden senior call-up this month, Bisseck has drawn interest from several European clubs.

“My father advised me to go to Eintracht,” Bisseck claimed. “But as a player, especially having gone through what I have, you probably want to go to the biggest club possible.

“Naturally, these are all players you know because you’ve seen them on TV.

“But you don’t know what kind of people they are.

“Are they the type who say, ‘Okay, I’m the star, and you come from Denmark, so you don’t talk to me’?

“Or are they laid-back people? I had to study the situation a bit. Luckily, at Inter, everyone is extremely relaxed.

“You notice it when your opponent starts complaining to his teammates.

“When he accuses them of making a ‘crappy pass,’ even though the pass was perfectly fine.

“Strikers always love to blame others. And when that happens, you know: you’ve gotten into your opponent’s head.”

Meanwhile, he reiterated his ambition to become a permanent fixture in the national team.

“I just want to become a national team player for Germany. Sooner or later.”
