There is no doubt that the level at which FC Barcelona have performed this year is beyond even the wildest expectations that their fans might have had from their team when the Blaugranes ended the last season without any trophy.

In a black-and-white comparison with the last season, the Catalans are aiming to win all the big trophies, and are one of the few teams in Europe that are still on track to win the treble.

In addition to the changes brought in by Hansi Flick, the performances of the players have also been crucial to make this season such a good one for Barcelona.

However, there are still some players whose performances have not been up to the expected standards and whose futures are quite uncertain at the moment.

Fichajes has identified five such players in the Blaugrana squad, claiming that Hansi Flick has already asked the club to get rid of these players. The Catalans are now working to find a way out for these players, which are discussed below:

Inaki Pena:

Inaki Pena had the most prominent phase of his career this season, but still, since the start of 2025, he has been a fringe player in the squad, as Wojciech Szczesny has become the clear starter for Flick. Now, with Ter Stegen’s return also expected in a few weeks, he is likely to leave Barcelona, as he still has a strong demand in Spain.

Andreas Christensen:

The Dane has spent almost the entirety of the season on the sidelines, and in his absence, the likes of Inigo Martinez, Pau Cubarsi, Ronald Araujo, and even Eric Garcia have moved ahead of him in the pecking order. Thus, he is no longer a part of Flick’s plans and the Catalans are looking to get a good sum from his sale.

Ansu Fati:

Although he returned to the Blaugrana club from a loan in England with very high hopes, he has not really enjoyed a lot of importance in Flick’s schemes. Currently, he is one of the players with the least number of minutes on the pitch, and thus, he can leave this summer, either on loan or permanently.

Pau Victor:

Pau Victor’s case is different from these other names, as Barcelona still have hopes for him. However, they believe he should join another side on loan to continue developing, and thus, he can leave Flick’s team this summer.

Eric Garcia:
