Chelsea are out to boost their Champions League qualification hopes when they welcome Everton to Stamford Bridge this afternoon.
Despite coming from behind to beat Fulham last weekend, Chelsea start the day sixth in the Premier League table. This is due to Nottingham Forest and Manchester City both winning their midweek fixtures.
Of course, a top-five finish will be enough to seal a place in next season’s Champions League and the Blues are two points off Newcastle who currently occupy the last qualification spot.
Though with Forest in FA Cup action tomorrow, the Blues can leapfrog Nuno Espírito Santo’s side by beating the Toffees.
Everton, meanwhile, have the incentive of finishing above Manchester United and Tottenham, but David Moyes’ side have only won two of their last 10 games and lost 6-0 in this corresponding fixture last season.
