As we head towards the summer transfer window, we are seeing Celtic being linked with a number of players. The name of Mathias Kvistgaarden seems to be back on their radar. On the other hand, new names like Kalidou Sidibe and Herba Guirassy have emerged in the rumour mill as well. At the same time, some exits might lie on the horizon as well.

Celtic fans were left impressed with Maik Nawrocki's performance against the Rangers. He came in from the cold and was arguably the best player on the pitch at the weekend.

On the other hand, another one of Celtic's defenders is shining as well despite not getting opportunities from Brendan Rodgers. In this case, he is doing it out on loan at FC Twente.

We are talking about none other than Gustaf Lagerbielke. He was signed in the same window as Nawrocki. And while Celtic's record when he played was solid, he was largely left out of the team when the likes of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales were available.

Lagerbielke seems very open to the prospect of a permanent switch to FC Twente in the future. As reported by the Daily Record, he said:

"If we go to Europe, Twente will have more money. The same goes if we sell any players. That will be up to the sports directors at the clubs. I want to play and I feel very comfortable in Holland. I can definitely imagine a future there."

While Lagerbielke has done well at FC Twente, it is hard to imagine that he has much of a future at Celtic considering how little football he got last season. So, next summer might be the perfect opportunity to find the Swedish international a new home and bring in a decent fee at the same time, just like they did with Alexandro Bernabei.

Of course, it remains to be seen what the future holds. It is also possible that other clubs might be interested in him as well after his solid displays.
