Simone Inzaghi admits that he “messed up” with his late red card in Inter Milan’s Serie A clash with Udinese yesterday.
The Nerazzurri coach apologized for losing his temper late in the 2-1 victory while speaking to DAZN, via FCInterNews, after the match.
Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi got his marching orders from referee Daniele Chiffi in yesterday’s Serie A match at the San Siro.
The 48-year-old had cut an animated presence on the touchline throughout the match. As he often does.
And the tension had evidently gotten to Inzaghi with Inter hanging on to survive an Udinese onslaught in the match’s finale.
Inzaghi had already gone into the book earlier in the match. But then he received a straight red card due to losing his temper with the official.
This means that the Inter coach will have to serve a touchline ban for his team’s next match. That will be away to Udinese next weekend.

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi explained himself after the match. “As far as my red card, I messed up and I apologized.”
“The foul on Correa looked clear to me,” he continued.
“And from the corner that resulted, we risked conceding the equalizer,” Inzaghi explained the reason for his ire.
“But Sommer did well.”
“Sometimes adrenaline gets the better of us,” the Inter coach sheepishly admitted.
“But now I unfortunately won’t be able to be on the bench behind the team next weekend.”
Meanwhile, Inzaghi hailed his team for playing “a brilliant first half.”
“We deserved to score more than the two goals,” the Nerazzurri coach argued.
“Then in the second half, we didn’t start very well. But until Solet’s goal, we didn’t risk anything.”
“After that, we lost our composure,” admitted Inzaghi. “We stopped playing, and in matches like this that is always a risk.”
