Bild reports that Chelsea’s Jadon Sancho is looking to return to Borussia Dortmund for the third time in his career, and his desire to return grows daily.

Since moving to England in the summer of 2021, apart from short bursts of form, Sancho has struggled at both Manchester United and Chelsea. Now, he is looking to return to Germany.

The 24-year-old has never lost touch with the Bundesliga or Dortmund and is regularly aware of what is going on. He is also in regular contact with Jamie Gittens. Sancho is said to be growing fond of the idea of returning to the Bundesliga.

Bayer Leverkusen are said to have shown interest in Sancho, but he longs to return to Dortmund.

Current club Chelsea are unlikely to pay the €35m buy option in his loan deal, and he will return to Manchester United, where he is more than likely surplus to requirements, despite the change in manager.

Sancho was on loan at Dortmund for the second half of last season and looked somewhat back to his best as die Schwarzgelben reached an unlikely Champions League final. Whether Sancho can return for a third time is unknown as the potential transfer fee and salary, even if Sancho takes a pay cut, may be too large for Dortmund.
