Santiago Giménez nearly delivered a spectacular individual goal in the 27’, striking from the top of the box, but was just wide of the right post.

Adalberto Carrasquilla converted a penalty kick attempt in the 45+2’ to put the nations on level terms.
Santiago Giménez struck from close range in the 54’ but was denied by Orlando Mosquera.
A handball from José Córdoba in the 90’ minute awarded a penalty kick to Mexico. Raúl Jiménez converted from the penalty spot in the 90+2’ to deliver the match-winner and his second brace in consecutive matches.
The victory marks the first Concacaf Nations League trophy for Mexico. It also marks a best-ever finish for Panama in the CNL, who won its first silver medal in the tournament.
Post- Match Data
This is the first Concacaf title for Mexico since the 2023 Gold Cup, when they also defeated Panama in the final in the same venue (SoFi Stadium), winning that match, 1-0.
● Mexico has won all five finals in Concacaf competitions (Gold Cup and Nations League) against teams other than the USA. This is their 10th win in a Concacaf final overall, their second against Panama (2023 Gold Cup), having also recorded wins over the USA (5 times), Brazil (twice) and Jamaica (once).
● With goals in the semi-final against Canada and the final against Panama, Raúl Jiménez is the first player to score in both the semi-final and final of a single edition of the Concacaf Nations League. Also, he overtakes Cuauhtémoc Blanco as the third top goalscorer for Mexico, with 39.
● Raúl Jiménez (2 goals in the semi-final, 2 goals in the final) and Adalberto Carrasquilla (1 assist in the semi-final, 1 goal in the final) are the second and third players to contribute to a goal in both the semi-final and final of a single edition of the Concacaf Nations League (Giovanni Reyna in 2024).
● Raúl Jiménez is the first player to score multiple goals in more than one match in the quarter-finals or later of the Concacaf Nations League, doing so in the semi-finals and final of this tournament.
● César Montes had 16 clearances in the final against Panama, the joint-second highest tally for a player in a Concacaf Nations League match and the highest for a Mexican player in a match in a Concacaf competition in the last 10 years.
