Lautaro Martinez and Harry Kane are both banged up, but ready for a superstar duel in tomorrow’s Champions League showdown between Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.
This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
The margins are likely to be tight between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich over two legs.
Therefore, both teams will be hoping that they can rely on their key man in attack.
For Inter, that is captain Lautaro Martinez.
This has not been the Argentine’s most prolific season for the Nerazzurri by any stretch. However, he has still scored a more than respectable eighteen goals from forty matches.
Martinez has found the back six times in nine Champions League matches. And several of those have come off the bench.
Meanwhile, Harry Kane has scored 34 goals this season, from 39 appearances for Bayern. He’s made eleven Champions League appearances and scored ten goals in the competition.

Martinez and Kane also give their respective teams far more than just goals.
The Argentine and English internationals are two of the most renowned strikers in European football at the moment.
Both, however, will have to grit their teeth and play through a knock.
For Martinez, the Inter captain just returned from a thigh injury.
Martinez started for Inter against Parma this weekend. But he only saw out an hour of that match, not looking at his freshest.
Meanwhile, Harry Kane has a foot problem, applying an ice pack after Friday’s win over Augsburg.
These are just the reality of this stage of the season. Martinez and Kane are both extremely physical strikers, and there wear and tear is inevitable in such a gruelling fixture list.
However, both strikers are used to fighting through the pain. And which one copes better could be decisive for a spot in the Champions League semifinals.
