The winter transfer window closed with Alexander Isak still at Newcastle United. While there wasn’t much speculation about a move in January, reports suggest PSG and other clubs could make another push for him this summer.

RMC Sport previously reported that PSG was willing to offer Gonçalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani, and Marco Asensio in a swap deal to bring Isak to Paris.

Liverpool are also in the mix for the Swedish striker. According to Sky Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the club has already opened talks with his representatives. The Reds are reportedly preparing a major bid and may even break from their usual transfer approach to land the 25-year-old.

Newcastle has reportedly set Isak’s price at €180 million (£150 million), which would make him Liverpool’s record signing, surpassing the £85 million they paid for Darwin Núñez in 2022.

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo claims Barcelona are interested in Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali and could also make a move for Isak.

TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey reports that Liverpool are willing to break their club transfer record—set when they signed Núñez—to bring Isak to Anfield.

Isak is Liverpool’s top target for the summer transfer window, and they are confident they can beat Arsenal in the race to sign the in-form striker.

Newcastle have put contract talks with Isak on hold after he turned down their initial offers, according to CaughtOffside. The club plans to reassess the situation and decide on its next move, especially with Arsenal and Liverpool showing increasing interest.

The Sweden international has been in outstanding form this season, scoring 23 goals and providing five assists across all competitions for Newcastle. He also helped the Magpies secure the Carabao Cup with a goal in their victory over Liverpool.
