Milan will have a high motivation to qualify for the Coppa Italia Final, even to play in next year’s Supercoppa Italiana, and to keep their Europa League qualification hopes alive.
Sergio Conceiçao discussed Milan’s motivation against their city rivals, Inter, during a pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
Earning a chance to win a second trophy this season and ending the campaign without defeats against the Nerazzurri won’t be the only incentives for the Rossoneri.

Milan, in fact, sit 9th in the Serie A table, six points below a Europa League placement with just five games remaining.
The reward for winning the Coppa Italia is not just a trophy, but the club will also gain direct access to the Europa League in the next season.
Furthermore, qualifying for the Coppa Italia Final would also make the Diavoli eligible for the 2025-26 Supercoppa Italiana, for which a Final Four format has already been confirmed.
Milan are the defending champions, having won the latest edition in January. However, to play in the competition again next season, they must either qualify for the Coppa Italia Final or finish in the top two places in Serie A. This target is now mathematically impossible.
As reported by Calcio&Finanza, if Inter qualify for the Coppa Italia Final AND finish in the first two places in Serie A, which is practically certain, then the third-placed team in the league (currently Atalanta) will play in the Supercoppa Final four in 2025-26.
