Official: Ancelotti rings the changes as Real Madrid name XI to face Athletic Club | OneFootball

The XI of players chosen by the coaching staff at Real Madrid to get the better of Athletic Club this evening has been unveiled online.

And it features several noteworthy alterations.

Real Madrid are of course fresh off being sent packing from European competition in midweek, owing to a Champions League quarter-final defeat at the hands of Arsenal.

Los Blancos, in turn, have been forced to shift focus back towards matters in Spain, with a domestic double, potentially, still up for grabs.

In their first of eight remaining fixtures before the season is out, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops have welcomed the aforementioned Athletic Club to the Santiago Bernabéu, for a La Liga clash.

And as alluded to above, a short time ago, the XI of players selected by Real Madrid for the matchup was unveiled.

From the side which fell to Arsenal on Wednesday, there are a string of changes, from defence to midfield and into attack, where the suspended Kylian Mbappé misses out.
