Manchester City faced off against Everton at Goodison Park earlier this afternoon as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola’s men made a decent start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Nico O’Reilly finally made the breakthrough in the 84th minute when he found the back of the net from close range. Mateo Kovacic added another goal in injury time as the Mancunian club secured an impressive 2-0 win away from home.

LB: Nico O’Reilly – 8/10

He performed his defensive duties well and made some driving runs with the ball. O’Reilly scored the all-important opener in the 84th minute.

CM: Nico Gonzalez – 6.5/10

Gonzalez caught the eye at times but failed to influence the game in the final third.

CM: Ilkay Gundogan – 7.5/10

He controlled the game well from midfield and ended the game with an assist to his name.

RW: Bernardo Silva – 6.5/10

Silva worked hard but lacked quality in front of the opponent’s goal.

He proved his worth at times but never looked like he would score. De Bruyne was substituted in the 87th minute.
