Paredes confirms willingness to return to Boca: “The release clause in my new contract is real.” | OneFootball

Despite extending his deal with Roma just a few days ago, Leandro Paredes seems still keen on the idea of returning to Boca Juniors.

The Argentine midfielder confirmed in an interview with TYCSport the existence of a release clause that will be active this coming summer and which will only apply to his boyhood club.

“It’s true, the release clause is exclusively for Boca,” said Paredes.

“I have not spoken to Riquelme, only with Roma to whom I am very grateful: my renewal was born on the basis of the appearances and the objectives that were almost achieved and the club decided to extend the contract, inserting a clause for Boca,” he added.

“The clause starts immediately but it will be very difficult, the easiest window was in January, where I did everything possible to return.”
