USL Dunkerque vs PSG : Paris edge past Dunkerque to reach the final

Paris survived a first half scare against Ligue 2 side Dunkerque to reach the final of the Coupe de France.

Completely against the run of play, centre back Vincent Sasso opened the score for Dunkerque inside seven minutes. The centre back found himself at the receiving end of a free-kick deviated by former PSG player Georgen to score alone at Safonov's back post.

Despite their overwhelming domination on the game inside the first 20 minutes Luis Enrique's side failed to register a shot on target as they faced a very well-organised Dunkerque team. At the 27 minute, Al-Saad made it 2-0 for the hosts. The 36-year-old striker Courtet domianted Marquinhos in the air to deliver a good ball to Al-Saad for the break.

Paris multiplied the chances to cut their deficit in this game but always found Dunkerque's goalkeeper Jaouen or his defenders in their paths. However, just before the end of the first half, Hakimi delivered a splendid assist to Ousmane Dembélé who scored his 31st goal of the season (45').

Just three minutes into the second half, Marquinhos completed PSG's comeback after a good cross from Dembélé (48'). Paris' equaliser certainly extinguished Dunkerque's hopes to qualify as the French champions overwhelmingly dominated up to this point.

The game was completely flipped on its head at the 62nd minute when in-form Désiré Doué scored the third goal of his team in this game as his long-range effort was deflected leaving Jaouen powerless.

Dembélé sealed the game with his second goal of the night in added time and sent Paris to the final of the Coupe de France (90'+4).
