AC Milan could make a new attempt for Hans Nicolussi Caviglia in the summer, having already tried in January, as reported by the journalist Carlo Pellegatti.
The Milan management got to watch Nicolussi Caviglia up close at the weekend as the Rossoneri faced Venezia away from home. The 24-year-old did well despite the 2-0 defeat, building on what has been a very positive season for him.
He joined Venezia on loan with an obligation to buy ahead of the season from Juventus, and already in January, Milan tried to sign him. This was revealed by Carlo Pellegatti on his YouTube channel, stating that a new attempt in the summer seems likely.
“He’s a player that Milan really like. They wanted him during the winter mercato, but they moved too late. They still like him, not as a starter, but they need Italians for the squad lists.
“He could be a player to complete the squad. For example, I find the path that leads to Ricci complicated, I think it is easier to spend less on Nicolussi Caviglia,” he said as transcribed by PianetaMilan.
There is a rather evident gap in quality between Nicolussi Caviglia and Ricci, it must be said, especially when you consider that the latter is younger. Everything will depend on how much the Rossoneri can spend this summer, but Nicolussi Caviglia would no doubt also be good for the squad lists.
