Virgil Van Dijk (33) is being linked left-right-and-centre. It is natural given that the defender’s contract at Liverpool expires at the end of the season.
As reported by L’Équipe, the Dutchman has an offer from Saudi Arabia at his disposal, whilst even more recently, Sacha Tavolieri revealed interest from the MLS. Links to Paris Saint-Germain have also been rife. Those rumours began when Van Dijk was seen talking to PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Luís Campos in the halls of Anfield last week after the Merseyside club’s elimination from the UEFA Champions League at the hands of Les Parisiens.
However, as reported by RMC Sport, a move to the Parc des Princes was not a topic of discussion. The centre-back instead apologised for a shouting match with Campos in the first leg of the Champions League tie and praised PSG’s level across the two legs.
Reports linking Van Dijk to PSG are, however, multiplying. Foot Mercato have now denied these rumours, stating that there is currently no link between the Liverpool defender and the Ligue 1 leaders.
