After a disappointing 2024/25 season, Real Madrid are set to make significant moves in the summer transfer market, with reports from MARCA suggesting that the club plans to sign a left-back and a midfielder.
After the potential addition of Trent Alexander-Arnold this summer, the Madrid hierarchy aims to strengthen further, aiming for a more balanced and robust squad next season.
This season has been challenging for Los Blancos, with a combination of injuries and a lack of squad depth impacting their performance.
Real Madrid’s failure to address these issues during the current campaign has played a significant role in their underwhelming results.
As such, the club is gearing up for a massive overhaul, not only in terms of managerial change but also in player reinforcements.

One of the key areas for reinforcement is at left-back, where the club is reportedly targeting Milos Kerkez, currently playing for Bournemouth.
The 21-year-old has been in exceptional form this season under manager Andoni Iraola, earning praise for his performances.
His youthful energy and defensive solidity have made him a standout in the Premier League, and Real Madrid is said to be keen on bringing him to the Spanish capital to bolster their defensive ranks.

As for the midfield, Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister has emerged as a primary target. The Argentine, a key figure for the Reds, has caught the eye of Real Madrid’s scouts, and the club is keen on signing him.
However, any potential move faces significant hurdles. Mac Allister is under contract until 2028, and Liverpool are not inclined to let go of the midfielder, especially after his impressive performances.
Moreover, the player himself has shown little interest in leaving the Premier League, meaning Real Madrid would need to present an extraordinary offer to both Liverpool and Mac Allister himself if they hope to secure his services.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid remain interested in Martin Zubimendi, but the club faces tough competition from Arsenal, who are currently the favourites to sign the Spanish midfielder.
