Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing the experienced Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka at the end of the season.
The 30-year-old has a contract with the German club until 2026, and he is not keen on an early exit, according to Christian Falk.
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can convince him to join the club. They could use a powerful presence like him in the middle of the park, and the 30-year-old would be a quality acquisition in the short term. They have been long-term admirers of the player.
According to Falk, the player has recently switched agents, and he is now represented by the Roof agency, which represents Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk as well.
It will be interesting to see if their connections with Premier League clubs can facilitate a potential move in the summer.
Goretzka has been a key player for the Bundesliga club this season, and he has no reason to leave them in the summer. It remains to be seen if Manchester United can convince him.

It has been a disappointing season for the Red Devils, and they are lacking in quality all over the pitch. Signing a combative midfielder could prove to be a wise decision. He will add physicality and defensive steel to the side. Furthermore, the German International will add some much-needed drive in the middle of the park.
The midfielder currently earns £14.6 million per season at Bayern Munich and his salary could be a problem for any club looking to sign him as well. At 30, clubs will be hesitant to offer him a lucrative contract. It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds.
