After the violent clashes that took place near the Olympic Stadium, the Ministry of the Interior intervened firmly.

“These are unworthy and unacceptable behaviors. We are determined to carry out any further measures necessary to guarantee the safety of men and women in uniform”, declared Minister Matteo Piantedosi, harshly condemning what happened last Sunday in the Capital.

Now the first concrete measures have arrived: according to what was reported by Il Tempo, a ban on travel for Roma and Lazio fans for the next three scheduled matches has been ordered.

A decisive step, aimed at containing the risk of further episodes of violence and protecting public safety.

But that’s not all. Already looking ahead to the 2025-2026 football season, the Ministry has announced a new organizational criterion to the FIGC: matches considered high-risk can no longer be played in the evening.

A measure that primarily involves the Rome derby, often the scene of tensions even off the pitch.
