Footage of Manchester City star Erling Haaland arriving in Barcelona has come to the fore on Tuesday evening.

The name of frontman Haaland has of course dominated the headlines in England over the course of the last 24 hours.

This comes after Man City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed that his star goalscorer is set for a prolonged incoming spell on the sidelines.

“The doctors told me Erling Haaland will be out between five and seven weeks,” the Spaniard announced. ”Hopefully at the end of the season and Club World Cup he will be ready.”

Haaland, in turn, has already set about kicking his recovery process into gear.

And as much, as alluded to above, started on Tuesday with a trip to the city of Barcelona.

As showcased in the footage below, the Norwegian international was escorted through the airport whilst making use of a pair of crutches.

Carlos Monfort of Spanish outlet Jijantes, meanwhile, has provided an insight into the reasoning behind Haaland’s trip to Spain:

‘Haaland landed in Barcelona this afternoon to see Doctor Ramón Cugat, a trusted man of Pep Guardiola. He was observed by the medical services of the Quirón Hospital and then traveled to Marbella.’
