Wolfsburg rekindle interest in Wolves striker Fabio Silva

Wolfsburg are interested in signing Wolves striker Fabio Silva, according to Florian Plettenberg, with the Portuguese international also a candidate for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Silva can also play as a ten, making him an ideal candidate to slot in behind the recently purchase Mohamed Amoura. The fact that Amoura has been linked with a move away from Germany’s green company team might also leave die Autostädter interested in acquiring him as a nine.

Silva has often been linked with a move to German football. There were intense rumors during the January 2023 transfer window and some sources suggested that Wolfsburg were nearing a deal. At the time, Wolves wanted more than the €20m offer.

Silva’s Premier League club ostensibly retain interest in offloading their once record transfer as his current contract is only good through the end of next season. The Midlands side paid some €40m to acquire him in September 2020 and have loaned him out four times after two weak seasons.
