Kylian Mbappe’s season at Real Madrid has quite been a roller coaster, but not one that many did not see coming.

The Frenchman took his time to adapt to the club’s style and his new position on the field but now appears to have settled in nicely.

In recent games, it has been the new signing who has pulled Real Madrid through more often than now and it is safe to say that Los Blancos are reaping the rewards of the investment they made in him.

Ronaldinho’s talk on Mbappe

Speaking to the media earlier this week, Barcelona legend Ronaldinho was asked about his relationship with Kylian Mbappe and how he saw the 26-year-old megastar’s run so far in his short career.

“Kylian Mbappe is one of the players I like a lot. He’s a great friend. He’s also a person I admire for everything he does in life,” he said via L’Equipe.

The Brazilian legend then went on to speak on how he and Mbappe both played in France before moving to an elite club in Spain in their careers.

“We have a bit of the same trajectory after PSG, except for the club (laughs). But he’s also at a historic club that will allow him to develop and win the important things he’s missing.”

Mbappe will start for Real Madrid later today as they on Arsenal in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal. Needless to say, the spotlight will shine bright on him especially given his recent form.

So far this season, the ex-PSG star has scored seven goals and provided one assist for Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

Further, he is in close competition with Robert Lewandowski for the Pichichi award in La Liga with a staggering 22 goals to his name so far.
