Barcelona star to return to starting XI for Copa del Rey final | OneFootball

A headline member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants is all set to return to a starting role in next weekend’s Copa del Rey final.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Dani Olmo as the player in question.

Spanish international Olmo is for his part fresh off a starring display for Barcelona on Saturday.

Introduced off the bench in the Blaugrana’s La Liga meeting with Celta Vigo, the summer arrival in Catalunya’s capital proved himself decisive in a comeback triumph for Hansi Flick’s side.

With Barca trailing by three goals to one, Olmo first pulled a goal back courtesy of a fine finish, before also earning an injury-time penalty, to set the stage for Raphinha to complete the turnaround.

And such exploits look set to see the former RB Leipzig standout imminently rewarded.

As per a report from Sport:

‘It seems that there is little doubt that Olmo will return to the starting line-up in the Copa del Rey final against Real Madrid.’
