Paris Saint-Germain are loading up on young talent but aren’t guaranteeing them starting spots, expecting each player to compete for minutes. Manager Luis Enrique is also known for regularly rotating his squad.
Still, some young players may decide that PSG’s approach—and Enrique’s style—aren’t the right fit for them. That was the case for Xavi Simons, who made a permanent move to RB Leipzig after reportedly not receiving assurances about playing time.
Now, a Bundesliga club are monitoring a young PSG player, which explains why Vincent Kompany was recently at the Parc des Princes.
PSG signed Doué from Rennes last summer for a €50 million transfer fee. This season, he’s played in 39 total matches, scoring seven goals and recording 11 assists.

Bayern Munich are still interested in Désiré Doué, according to journalist Christian Falk (h/t Le10Sport) after expressing interest in the player last summer.
It’s no surprise that Kompany traveled to Paris to watch the match against OM. However, the deal remains complicated due to the asking price and Doué’s preference, as he had already made up his mind to join PSG.
Last month, Anfield Watch reported that Liverpool are keeping a close eye on Doué, who has become frustrated at PSG due to limited playing time. The French talent is open to a move, and the arrival of Kvaratskhelia could push him even closer to leaving.
Liverpool have been following Doué since his days at Stade Rennais and see him as an exciting long-term prospect. If he’s available, the club’s recruitment team will likely show strong interest.
