Zvonimir Boban reveals Fabio Capello predicted Barcelona-Inter would finish 3-3 when the Nerazzurri were leading 2-0 in the first half.
Former Italian coach Capello predicted the exact result of Barcelona-Inter last night, but he did so while the Nerazzurri were leading 2-0 in the first half.
Early goals from Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries gave Simone Inzaghi’s men a double lead in the opening minutes, but Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres levelled the score before the break.

It ultimately ended 3-3 with another Dumfries goal and Yann Sommer’s unlucky own goal in the second half.
“It was a spectacular, extraordinary game,” Boban told Sky Sport Italia via Corriere dello Sport.
“When Inter were leading 2-0 and seeing how Barcelona were playing, Mr Capello told me it would finish 3-3. You don’t always get it right, but he said it when Inter were 2-0 up.”
Both Boban and Capello were the pundits on Sky Sport Italia last night.
Boban and Capello won the Champions League at Milan in 1993-94 when the Rossoneri, coached by the Italian tactician, beat Barcelona 4-0 at the Olympic Stadium in Athens.
The second leg semifinal between Inter and Barcelona will be played at San Siro next week, on Tuesday, May 6.

Inter star Lautaro Martinez suffered an injury in the first half of yesterday’s match and coach Simone Inzaghi said after the game: “We played a great game, clearly were 2-0 up, I still don’t understand why that goal was disallowed, so there are also regrets, but we know that we put in a great performance against in my view right now the best team in the world.
“Lautaro felt a twinge, but had been playing eight games in a row. Unfortunately, we had these little issues, as I didn’t have Thuram, Taremi was also coming off an injury and I wasn’t able to rotate. When you start eight matches in a row, there is the risk of injury, I hope it’s nothing too serious, but I do have a few doubts.”
