The visitors from Hauenhorst didn't make it easy for the BVB women at first, and were very compact at the back. As a result, the Borussians didn't threaten their opponents' goal in the first 30 minutes. An attempt by Annika Enderle from the edge of the box was deflected at first by Hauenhorst's anchorwoman Anne Gehring, but Dana Marquardt was there to put the ball in the net, making it 1-0 (35). In the 39th minute, Marie Grothe took a shot at a sharp angle from the right hand side of the penalty area. The ball was deflected by a Hauenhorst defender into her own goal. Only a minute later, Marquardt made it 3-0. Nora Willeke dribbled through the penalty area and, before she reached the goalkeeper, passed to Marquardt who was running down the centre alongside her. Marquardt scored again effortlessly and BVB went into half time 3-0 up.

After half time, the hosts struggled again at first to break through into the furthest third of the pitch. In the 70th minute, Nicole Schampera scored for Hauenhorst, making it 3-1. After a foul against Enderle in the penalty area, Paula Reimann was able to extend BVB's lead to three goals again with a penalty (83). Mia Bedarf, who had come on as a substitute, rounded off the game by scoring with a flat ball near the baseline following a short corner kick.
