Chelsea face Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League tonight.
Enzo Maresca’s side can move back into the Premier League’s top four with a win over their London rivals. The clash begins a defining run for the Blues, who face Brentford in another all-capital clash at the weekend before the first leg of their Europa Conference League quarter-final against Legia Warsaw.
Chelsea are aiming to bounce back from defeat to Arsenal before the break, with the West Londoners having lost four of their last seven Premier League games. However, victory tonight will take Chelsea above Newcastle and Manchester City and into fourth.
Spurs also suffered a setback before the international break, after losing 2-0 at Fulham. It was a 15th defeat of the Premier League campaign for Ange Postecoglou’s side, who are mired in the bottom half. The club’s primary focus over the run-in is Europe, ahead of an upcoming Europa League quarter-final against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Enzo Maresca confirmed in his pre-match press conference that Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson are all available for Chelsea. Palmer missed the defeat at Arsenal and England’s fixtures during the break due to a combination of illness and a muscular issue. Jackson and Madueke have recovered from hamstring injuries to resume training.
Chelsea will be without Romeo Lavia, however, who has suffered another setback. The midfielder has 578 minutes of Premier League football since signing for the Blues in 2023. Reece James returns from the international break with confidence after scoring his first goal for England with a fantastic free-kick.
Chelsea predicted XI: Sanchez; James, Fofana, Colwill, Cucurella; Fernandez, Caicedo; Madueke, Palmer, Neto; Jackson.
Chelsea host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Thursday 3rd April 2025. Kick-off at Stamford Bridge is 20:00 BST.
Tonight’s London Derby will be televised on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Go UK and NOW UK.
