According to one expert in the field, Chelsea will not make a loss on one player that they’re going to want to build a team around.
The Blues came from a goal down to score two very late goals to win the game 2-1 against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon in what was a very dramatic game of ups and downs. But for 80 minutes, it was a lot of downs for Chelsea and the woes were continuing. Thankfully, they managed to get two late goals from individual brilliance to win the game.
Still, manager Enzo Maresca did not celebrate the Chelsea win over with the away fans like all the players did at the end of the game, which was very odd. But he has explained his reasoning for this in the post match press conference, although it wont wash.
The fans were furious throughout most of the game though and certainly let the manager and the players know this at half time and throughout the game. Pedro Neto responded to the fan anger in his post-match comments after the game on Sunday.
The summer transfer window is incoming, and the big stories are already starting to bubble up a bit. There’s been a report suggesting that Saudi have interest in signing Moises Caicedo, but it doesn’t appear that The Blues would entertain such a move.

Finance expert Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Chelsea are unlikely to sell Caicedo due to his importance to the team.
He said: “I think it’s hard to see that they would take a loss on Caicedo.
“I don’t think they’ll sell him. I think he’s seen as being a key player. He plays every week. I think the fans think that he’s a pretty good player.
“Because of the way that the fee is amortised over the eight years, his net value doesn’t fall as fast as it might do if it were amortised over five years, so the profit might not be that significant.
“But as I say, I think it’s unlikely that that’s the key sale.
“He’s a player that they’re going to want to build a team around as opposed to sell on.
“I think they need to be looking at other players really, particularly the fringe players.”
