Napoli are eager to expand their Scottish contingent for next season with Bologna midfielder Lewis Ferguson, but Inter are also said to be interested.
The Partenopei have already found great success with the arrival of Scott McTominay from Manchester United and Billy Gilmour from Brighton and Hove Albion last summer.
Now there might be another Scotland international joining them at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, as Calciomercato.it claim that Napoli are preparing a bid for Ferguson.

The 25-year-old has just made his comeback after suffering a serious knee ligament injury at the end of last season.
Bologna showed their faith in him by getting the player to sign a new contract to June 2028, with an option to extend for another year.
Ferguson was purchased from Aberdeen FC in the summer of 2022 for just €2m, but his value has since sky-rocketed thanks to performances for Bologna in Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League.
However, Napoli are not the only ones targeting him, as Inter are said to be interested in a swoop for the Scotsman too.
Italian talent scout Michele Fratini told Calciomercato.it that Ferguson is “a complete midfielder, solid both defensively and in attack. He could be an ideal heir to Henrikh Mkhitaryan at Inter or Frank Anguissa at Napoli.”
