Along with his Barcelona teammate Raphinha, Pedri has emerged as one of the top candidates to win the 2025 Ballon d’Or trophy.
This is thanks to Pedri’s wonderful season at Barcelona so far, with the youngster emerging as a vital cog in Hansi Flick’s midfield unit.
However, Pedri is rated highly not only for his performances but also because of his mentality and attitude. At least that is what Alvaro Morata thinks.
In a recent interview with El Larguero (h/t Mundo Deportivo), Morata pointed out why he admires Pedri so much, notably pointing out his altruism.
“Pedri is super altruistic,” said Morata, who shares a close bond with the Barcelona midfielder.
Sharing an anecdote, the former Real Madrid striker added, “Pedri is a super good teammate. “When Ferran gets injured, Pedri is there for him to make him happy; he’s super altruistic.”

This is not the first time Morata has hailed Pedri for his brilliance and humility. In another interview with SER, the Galatasaray forward pointed out the youngster’s personality.
“Pedri blows my mind; he plays like he’s 40. There are players who need a long time to handle pressure, while others have it naturally. Very few have his personality and attitude; he will be one of the best in Spanish history,” he said.
Pedri, too, has reciprocated the love and admiration from Morata. He was notably one of two Barcelona stars who even convinced the veteran striker to continue with the Spanish national team after Euro 2024.
The former Real Madrid striker was considering national team retirement at the time. But Pedri and Dani Olmo convinced him to continue.
Pedri and Morata will share the pitch in Spain colours this week as La Roja take on the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals.
