Liverpool look to extend their lead at the Premier League summit
Arne Slot’s Liverpool make the trip to Craven Cottage on Sunday as they look to take another step closer to a 20th top-flight title.
The Reds recovered well from a dismal week of results ahead of the March international break which saw them knocked out of the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain and pipped to the League Cup title by Newcastle. They returned to action with a hard-fought 1-0 win in the Merseyside derby earlier this week, Diogo Jota’s second-half goal ensuring all three points.
Still top of the table and comfortably clear of second-placed Arsenal, Liverpool look set to cruise to Premier League glory in Slot’s first season with the team.
Marco Silva’s Fulham have had a campaign defined by highs and lows. They have won just one of their last four games, losing in the league to Brighton and Arsenal before being tidily knocked out of the FA Cup by Crystal Palace.
Sitting ninth, though, Fulham are just six points off fifth-placed Manchester City, meaning European qualification is not entirely out of the question, especially as UEFA look set to hand England more qualification slots. Still to face Bournemouth, Chelsea, and Man City, though, it will be no mean feat.
Fulham vs Liverpool is scheduled for a 2pm BST kick-off on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
The match will take place at Craven Cottage.

Slot will be without several of his Liverpool stars ahead of the trip to west London, with defenders Joe Gomez (hamstring) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (foot) both unavailable.
Conor Bradley may return from his thigh injury in time for the match, but Arne Slot said on Thursday he is continuing to monitor the young full-back’s fitness and will make a late decision. Goalkeeper Alisson Becker could be available after concussion sustained while on international duty, while Curtis Jones will hope to keep his place at right-back.
Fulham remain without Kenny Tete (knee), Reiss Nelson (thigh), and Harry Wilson (foot), all of whom are recovering from long-term injuries.
Tete has returned to partial team training, but is not expected to be available for selection until the middle of the month, while Marco Silva has said Wilson is due back this month.

The machine that is Slot’s Liverpool has been jammed on very few occasions this season. Losses to PSG and Newcastle in March were both shocks, and having beaten Everton in the week, there will be a good feeling in the camp.
Silva has built Fulham into a solid mid-table outfit since signing in 2021, and the west Londoners certainly will not go down without a fight. For Fulham to win, though, would be something of a shock, particularly given their sub-standard record against Liverpool.
