In the latest turn of events, AC Milan are seemingly not going to hire Massimiliano Allegri, after his former coach Giovanni Galeone revealed some information about the situation.
For the past few weeks, it has seemed like Allegri would very likely return to his post as the head coach of Milan, especially with Fabio Paratici probable to be the new sporting director of the club, and Milan wanting a coach with Italian experience.
Nevertheless, things are never that simple, especially when the Rossoneri are involved, and it now seems like the former Juventus man will not be arriving at San Siro, at least not on the home bench.
Just weeks after saying that the 57-year-old could arrive, Galeone has revealed to Radio Kiss Kiss that he will not be the new manager of the Diavolo, as relayed by Milan Zone on X.
“I spoke to Massimiliano Allegri on the phone and he told me he won’t go to Milan, he hasn’t had any contact with the Rossoneri.”
It is worth remembering that the club are waiting to hire a new sporting director before any decisions are made, but the statement seems rather concrete from the favourite.
