Inter Milan and France striker Marcus Thuram will miss the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash away to Bologna due to injury.

The Nerazzurri confirm that the Frenchman underwent medical tests today which showed muscular fatigue in his left thigh. He is also reportedly a doubt to face AC Milan next week.

Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram started in Wednesday evening’s Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Bayern Munich.

And the 27-year-old saw out the full ninety minutes plus stoppage time of the 2-2 draw.

It was an exhausting effort for the Nerazzurri, as Thuram admitted. Including for the strikers who pressed intensely and tracked back.

And evidently this has come at something of a physical cost for Thuram in particular.

Marcus Thuram underwent tests with the Inter medical staff today, the club confirm.

And these revealed that the France international has suffered an injury.

Thuram has suffered from muscular fatigue in the adductor muscle in his left thigh.

Therefore, there is no doubt that the former Borussia Monchengladbach striker will miss Inter’s next match. The Nerazzurri travel to Emilia-Romagna to take on Bologna on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia report via FCInterNews that Thuram is also a big doubt for the following match for Inter.

The Nerazzurri face city rivals AC Milan in the second leg of a Coppa Italia semifinal tie next Wednesday.

And there is significant doubt that Thuram will be able to recover in time for that match.

However, there doesn’t currently be too much of a risk of Thuram missing Inter’s Champions League semifinal tie against Barcelona.
