Inter Milan superstar Lautaro Martinez has left Argentina’s national team to return to Italy amid growing injury concerns.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, El Toro had to come back for detailed medical checks.

Lautaro Martinez scored in Inter’s 2-0 win against Atalanta last weekend.

However, shortly before putting the ball in the net, he seemed in pain, with fatigue catching up with the 27-year-old.

Despite not being 100% fit, he joined the Argentina squad on Monday, only to leave the day after.
