The 27-year-old has often been a key player for really making the Inter system tick.

Firstly, Dimarco did have a few positive moments yesterday.

These all came in attack, as the Italian had a couple unsuccessful efforts on goal and linked up with teammates early on in the match.

However, it was in defense that Dimarco really struggled yesterday.

There is no hiding the fact that Federico Dimarco has been culpable for some switch-offs in recent matches for Inter.

Meanwhile, once again, the Italian international looked hapless at times against a rampant Roma left side.

Zeki Celik and Matias Soule linked up effectively. The pace of both allowed Roma to bomb forward effectively.

However, Dimarco lacked the physicality or defensive steel to really hold the GIallorossi at bay.

Therefore, it was little surprise to see several dangerous Roma attacks come down the flank that Dimarco was protecting.
