Juric has claimed that all of Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Jan Bednarek and James Bree are fit, meaning the trio can again line up together after a while.

Tell me, which recent Southampton boss even slightly resembles the celebrated former manager Ralph Hasenhüttl? I know it's a tricky pick, but for me, it will be the current head, boss Ivan Juric.

No, don't get me wrong. Here, I don't refer to Hasenhuttl's results or the fame he delivered to the club, but his adaptability in tweaking tactics when necessary.

If you’ve been paying attention, it’s clear that in just four months, Ivan Juric has constantly tinkered with his playing XI. Yet, whether due to injuries or off-the-field issues, he still hasn’t settled on a definitive lineup.

Notably, these concerns have been quite overwhelming in Southampton's defence lately. One after the other, in Taylor Harwood-Bellis, or Jan Bednarek, the side has missed core players due to injuries.

To the extent that, it’s been over two months since we’ve seen Southampton’s solid defensive duo, Bednarek and Harwood-Bellis, complete a full game together.

Well, finally, all Saints fans’ prayers have been answered, as both of them are tipped to start against Crystal Palace today. As if that wasn’t enough, they’ll be joined by Juric’s trusted centre-back, James Bree.

As quoted by the Daily Echo, boss Juric confirmed this injury boost saying: "James Bree and Jan Bednarek are okay, Taylor Harwood-Bellis is okay, and everybody's fit."

Now, there’s no need to spell out what this trio’s return means for Juric and his Saints side. Instead, let’s look at the results.

Notably, the last time they started together, Southampton had managed their second Premier League win this season. In a back three system, the trio had proved to be the shield to the Saints' success against Ipswich.
