Marc Albrighton is a Leicester City player who's been there throughout it all. Unlike some of his other teammates at the time, Albrighton is one of those players who won the Premier League trophy in his second season at Leicester; then, in his final season, he won the EFL Championship.

So, Marc Albrighton can be considered a Leicester City legend. He is one of those players who joined Leicester, rather than it being his boyhood club. However, he left a lasting impression on the Foxes and throughout it all, he had a smile on his face and a never-say-never attitude in his heart.

Some might disagree with this, but Marc Albrighton is one of the best players to never receive an England call-up. He wasn't at the top of his game throughout his entire Leicester City spell but there were definitely periods where his performances justified a call-up. Either way, from our selfish perspective, it prevented him from unnecessary injuries.

At the end of last season, Marc Albrighton hung up his boots. From his side, he had already completed his fairytale story at Leicester City and it was the perfect time to bow out. Now, he is still watching Leicester but this season, he struggles to see any positives at the Foxes.

Marc Albrighton says Leicester players are too scared

Indeed, Marc Albrighton has questioned the mentality of the current Leicester City squad. There are many problems at the club right now and Albrighton isn't optimistic that those issues will be addressed or rectified anytime soon.

In his own words, Albrighton said: "Yeah, it's not looking great. The performance today [against Man United] and in recent weeks suggests they're not going to improve. Watching these coming games, they're very difficult games against top sides."

Albrighton then added: "Nobody wants to be the one to give it away, so they play the safe pass. Defensively they're scared to to go and commit to to put a tackle in. People are standing off, standing off the attackers and giving them a free shot and that's where the goal comes from [on Sunday]."

Albrighton then went onto address the main reason why Leicester have struggled this season, that being the lack of season-altering transfers. Indeed, the signings brought in have failed to make an impact, and we're still relying on the same players from last season.

Not to use him as an example, but Albrighton himself was never replaced. Leicester do not have the type of player that Albrighton was, in providing service from wide positions. It seems like a broken record saying this, but how we've fallen from the teams Albrighton played in.
